A day spent in Clunes.

A historic gold mining town located in the heart of Victoria's Central Goldfields region that are situated in the North of the state. Along with surreal landscapes, the small town is littered with well preserved (and some, not so much) bits and pieces that show it's rich history. Unfortunately, I was only able to spend a few hours in the town as I was there because of work and hardly got any time to do the town justice (photographically speaking, of course). I did, however, manage to meet my friend for a quick coffee at his new property; an original late 19th century gold miners' shack.

Hopefully I'll be able to schedule a longer trip in the near future.

The shack has been updated with modern conveniences (such as airconditioning and modern plumbing) since he lives there but he was careful not to change the original layout.

All photographs have been shot using a Lomo LC-A+ on Fuji Superia 400 film. Scanned using my trusty Canon Canoscan 5600F. Black and white conversions and adjustments in Lightroom 4 (I know that's cheating but this was the only film I could get on short notice).

Hope you enjoy the photographs.
