HAVE to quit smoking.

It's been a while since I've posted anything. I've got a good reason for that: my beautiful daughter came into this world on the 28th of June 2013. I'm still trying to digest the fact that I'm a father now. Forcing yourself to grow up has to be the hardest thing to do (look at me talking about hard things when my wife pushed out a person). God bless women for blessing us thankless men with these wonderful bundles of joy.

It was by far the most surreal feeling when the doctor handed her to me. She looked up at me with those tiny eyes...and started wailing...

Hmmm...not the emotional moment I had in mind (Hollywood...you lie). But hey, she's mine. She's my daughter (God, just typing that bit gave me goose bumps). My wife and I made her. We have loved her since the time she was a tiny little tadpole thing swimming around her belly. She is my blood, my heart, my soul, my everything. And my wife is all of the above X 10 (minus the blood part...). My daughter (I just love saying that!) wouldn't have been screaming like a banshee in my arms had it not been for her.

Anyway...

Back to photography...

You'll start seeing less posts from me in the near future. Partly because of the time constraint applied by the aforementioned offspring, and partly because I have begun putting together my first photoessay. I want to cut out the one liners from my photographic vision. I'll keep posting older images (I have tons and tons of negs waiting to be scanned and quite a significant number of images that are gathering virtual dust in my hard drive) here so you don't loose interest in my blog/site/whatever. The occasional sneak peek into the workings of my essay will also be shared once it starts taking shape. I hope this will force me to communicate verbally with my audience as well. Unfortunately, I am abysmal at that and usually give up entirely on the blog once the frequency in my writing diminishes. Let's just hope history doesn't repeat itself.

5th time's the charm...

Enjoy the photograph below. I'll be back with more very soon!
