This is my first official post on my website since I moved over from Wordpress. For some reason, I didn't feel like posting here after I moved over. It seemed more 'convenient' to post on Wordpress. Even though it requires the same amount of effort. I suppose, it's also because I've been a little busy entertaining guests from overseas. So I'm not getting as much alone time as I normally do.
Anyway, all this whining aside. I'm going to the Ballarat International Foto Biennale tomorrow. As far as I know, it's a photographic event that happens once every two years and they turn most of the venues in the town into galleries. Sounds pretty cool. Never been to one of these before since the town of Ballarat is nearly a 2 hour drive from my place. But this year, I joined a group called the Melbourne Silver Mine and they're having their exhibition there so I'll be going there to check that out. It was an open submission call for any of the members of the MSM as long as there was space in the area that was reserved for them. Luckily, I managed to snag a spot and submitted two of my photos to be exhibited.
Needless to say, I am very excited. This is the first time I'll see my photos up on a wall in an exhibition!
Drop by and say hi if you're in the area. Here's the address: Sebastiaan's Cafe and Bar, 58-60 Lydiard St, Ballarat, VIC 3350. The entire festival is going to be on from the 17th of August till the 15th of September.
I'll take some photos of the various exhibits and post them here tomorrow.
